The gen light came on and i lost power well I was 1 mile from home and 2 jumps later decided to just drove it home. Well when I was the abs and brake warning light came on. The guy who gave me the truck said he had the brakes done right before he gave it to me. I put a new alt in and the power is back but the lights are still on an suggestions on what it could be please help guys

Default rear wheel speed sensor

i don't know about the diesel but on the 5.2 and the 5.9 if you have the brake and abs light on and the speedometer reads zero until you hit 20mph then it is your rear wheel speed sensor. its located on the top of your rear differential and its about 40 bucks at advance. my brother in law called me about this (he has a 99 5.9 ram) and i looked it up and told him what i found. he changed it and didn't have another problem. then about 2 weeks later i was leaving work and saw the same symptoms on mine (00 5.2 ram) so i made a detour to advance and swapped it out when i got home and it fixed mine too. there is also another speed sensor on the side of the transmission (i belive) and you have to make sure you get the rear wheel one.
