Yikes, that's exactly what I was praying wouldn't happen to my motor, and I came out lucky. How did it feel when it hydrolocked? Was it a sudden stop? Or did it kinda just bog down and die?

Am I the only one here that takes it as a huge complement when somebody calls me a redneck? I don't think there is anything more fun than dropping into a mud hole in 4wd with a hot girl sitting next to me screaming "I'm gonna kill you if you get stuck!" and 4 other friends standing in the bed yelling "Faster!" Just my 2 cents.

Have you ever thought about building your own heat shield for your intake?

Don't mind him, he is on a long vacation
Also, don't get caught in what city slickers don't under stand about aggies.
Hell I live on a 700 acre farm, and that's part of my income. (600 head pure bred Shorties) I love it I don't know how to do anything else. I laugh at people the come into the country and bitch about how cow chit smells.
Of course on the other hand, I would never make it in a city. Hell I drive into Springfield every day (around 500,000 people) ans by the time I get home I want to go on a killing spree.
Each to their own, and recognize that the two groups rarely get along.

Fear of water is the only reason I never built an intake for my truck. I was considering it until I got "trapped" on a country road with water about three foot above the road.
Ended up going through it, and even with the stock intake I still saturated the filter, and set the CEL light off. Thank god I killed it real quick and got a ride home.

Lol. Viper, you make me laugh. I follow your threads just to see what you'll say next. You kick ***. No sarcasm here. True, all.
