Default Broken Dash

So I have a common problem that seems to happen alot with these trucks. My dash is broken in several places and it looks horrible. I was wondering what to do about it. If I order a new dash from the dealership it will cost something like $250 and I have heard its a pain to put in. Another option is to order a plastec dash cover that glues over the dash and makes it look like brand new for about $100 less I was wondering has anyonjes else done either of these two things to their truck and which one would be the best option?

Do a search, I know there are a few people on here that used the dash covers. Aim is one for example.

I'm pretty sure a whole new dash is more than $250 from a dealer.

I think I'm lucky-- my 99 doesn't have any cracks on the dash. Now that I said that it's probably actively cracking as I type this. That's how my truck rolls.

call Chrysler. Thats what i did, and now a chrysler rep is coming down to look at my dash. They might not pay for all of it, but still them paying some is better than me having to pay for all of it.

Better hurry. There won't be any Chrysler reps here real soon.
