problems with my 01....
I have put one on, 4"
It can be pretty hard.. it just depends. If any of the bolts give you trouble it can get pretty tiring. and sometimes you have to use jacks and weird methods to get the bold holes to line up because all the springs and stuff are so strong

ok..so i went and picked my truck up from the dealer after thir mechanics had a look at it(the 2nd time) and out of all the things i lsited earlier..they said.."the only thing we found wrong with it is the front left u joint and hub" they said the pinion seal is leaking but they said its normal? he is like..all pinions seals have a little moisture around them. they guy said he will pay for the u joint and hub (740$)
soo...some 1 is lieng..either midas or this dealers mechanic. They did put new yokohama geolander A/T tires on it. ( the other ones were all worn down on the inside edge, midas said thats from bad shocks...) ?
what do you guys think? im not that mechanically inclined... so i would like your opinions

Never heard anything but problems with Midas.
I'm by no means an expert, but I highly doubt worn out shocks will have any effect on tire wear. Sure, other suspension components maybe, the ride of course, how well you can handle a load, but the tires?
If they are going to get you a free u-joint and hub, thats a no brainer, I'd let them do it. After that, I'd get a third opinion. Meineke's always been good to me.
As far as the shocks go... put down your tailgate. Push on it hard (or stand on it and jump). If the truck bounces more than once, the shocks probably need replacement.

yea im having doubts about midas myself. after what i have seen them do to my door. the guy opens it up and lets it bash intot he concrete pillar. hes done it 3 times, ive seen him do it. anyway.....im not sure if there is a meinekes around here or not? i know there is a Car X. but i dont of any other mechanics around besides midas. my dad is pissed ebcause i told them i hate midas..they ripp us off..he doesnt believe me...he says he trusts them, but i definatly dont. what about this whining noise i hear when i put it reverse? is that costly to get fixed?
thanks!
