If you give it gas (push the gas pedal) when you put it in drive, will it stay running then?

CEL at all?

nope no CEL. no bells no whistles nothing. i honestly havent tried keeping the gas down considering the crappy spot that i was stupid enough to put it in. i will try that. as for the TC i honestly dont know what that stands for. (traction control, throttle control...?)
thanks for the replies

When I had my last Chevy the only problem I ever had with it was the TC (torque Converter) lock up solenoid went bad. I don't know if it is the same on these transmissions but the symptoms were the same.

I just had this problem except I was just trying to put it in reverse and the motor died and now it seems that it won't turn on again, do you just have to replace the tc?

It was just a matter of replacing the solenoid but I had a transmission guy do it. I couldn't work on my own cars at the time.
