the lower red hole looks like the port for using the ohm setting, its hard to tell from the small pic. the symbol looks like a little hat.

helms is right, it's the bottom red port. I just happen to be looking at the exact same meter. And don't forget to turn the damn thing off when you're done using it. It does not have auto shutoff. You'll be pissed next time you go to use it and it doesn't work because the battery is dead.

Besides, you want to check the volts. http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/transmi...TPS_adjust.htm

+1 for the second red port.

The black should be in the COM (Common, another name for Ground) and the red should be in the middle (second red) hole. You see that little headset or earmuffs looking icon, between "V" for volts and "mA" for milliamps? That is the symbol for ohms.

EDIT: I know this multimeter picture isn't exactly the same as the one he has (must be an older version of the same model), but its close enough to make the point.

Stick the black ground in a good spot on the truck, and back probe the middle wire on the TPS.

You can work the throttle manually on the other side of the TB with the Key ON but not turn the engine over to determine if the TPS is sweeping correctly. I think some people get overly hung up on the .75V=perfection thing. I think anything between .65 and .75V is probably good.
