Default OMG.. The saga continues

well, he got the motor and transmission all installed, and It was finially ready to pick up... So I went and picked it up Thursday night... FINALLY... well it ran great, shifted smooth and really was AWESOME!!! for 10 minutes, then it started to make a sound like when it overheats, that loud ratatatatat sound.. only when you rev it up, or accelerate... also, it blows blue smoke.. occassionaly, and the oil never seems to warm up at all, always seems cool... REAL weird... any ideas???

so you think it really could be just as simple as needing some engine cleaner/conditioner stuff run through it?

I talked to Tony, told him what ya'll said... He said he has the valve covers off, and it looks like new inside there... But he is going to put it together, and run some stuff through it and see what happens... He can't figure it out... because it runs so strong, and looks so good...

well i wonder what's happening with Jim's truck.
another week has passed and no updates.

last report was.... it started to make a sound like .... that loud ratatatatat sound.. only when you rev it up, or accelerate... also, it blows blue smoke

maybe dust cover out of place and hitting the flexplate, but i doubt it, not given the blue smoke.
