Default Battery Acid Every Where.!.!.!

Last sunday i was driving and this truck in front of me had a trailer full of wood. Well the wood started to fall out. So i swerved to the right, well not thinking, there was a curb/drive way. Well i popped my front right tire and tread starting to peel of my Rear Right. Got a set of 285/75/16 BFG M/T, the same day. So the the next day i go out to try to start my truck and it wont start.?.?.?. I pop the hood open and my battery is up side down next to my fan lying on my hoses. Theres battery acid everywhere. Inside of my hood, axle, sway bar, hoses, just everywhere. So i get it started and took it to the car wash and lightly presser washed it. Is there anything i should do about, or is the water all i can do?

Baking soda will neutralize the acid.

1+ Douse everything down with baking soda, let it sit for about 10 min, and wash it all off with a hose.

We had that happen to an 87 chevy that we were playing in a field with. Hit a rather large dip in the field and when the truck came back up, it threw the battery into the fan and chopped it up into pieces.

Where was your J bolt that holds the battery down? hmmm???

they sell terminal cleaner at advance, comes in a yellow can and it foams when you spray it and if it comes into contact with battery acid it turns pink. so you spray it and rinse it off with water until the foam comes out white, and the reaction is immediate so don't let it dry. and you need to check the acid level in your battery if you haven't already, and get a new hold down clamp since yours obviously wasn't there.

and don't spray that stuff on the battery caps because if it gets into the battery it'll kill it.

The baking soda is cheaper, go look in the kitchen cabinet or fridge, And it will fizz if it come's in contact with the battery acid. Mix 4 or 5 tablespoons with a couple quarts of water and pour it in a spray bottle and go to town. It may not fizz all that much as you have already pressure washed it some.
