never tried 89/91. costs too damn much.
and besides, i hardly ever get over 50 mph.

what i do enjoy is being able to lay on the gas and actually speed up a little, instead of it just sitting there wallowing like a pig.

or hooking up to the boat or loading the truck and actually going somewhere...

lol..k

My truck rarely gets over 50 too, 90% of my driving is in town. Looking forward to getting out on the highway this weekend for a change. Already warned the woman that I need to 'test' the latest upgrade, so she shouldn't yell much.

I have a 96 Dakota 5.2L and found a sticker on the PCM that reads PN 4886775 Dlr Code: 43839 Date: 9-15-97 and also shows authorized software update. Do any of you know if this update has the death flash?

Are the v10's affected by this (year 2000) or only v8?

If I were to buy a sight unseen used superchip, how does one know if it is "VIN Locked" or not?

I found a 8715 for $150 and might bite, but want to avoid another possible cost for surprises.

only v8 with our poorly designed plenum gasket. with a v10 you are good to go.
