A few guys on here have put 2500 coils on to level the truck out. It's not enough lift to worry about the trac bar. Over 3"'s is when you have to change it to an adjustable one.
I did. I used diesel coils which offer more lift (and a stiffer ride). I got 3 1/2" of lift from mine, while 3/4 ton v8 springs typically offer about 2".
I am using all the stock suspension parts including control arms and trackbar, as well as all thr stock steering stuff (aside froma PSC steering gear). Everything has worked good for me for the last 9 years.
Thats basicly what im looking for is about 3 inches of lift.I figured id use the 2500 spings and the 2 in spacers.Shocks will be different also. right?
Cool. I dont wanna spend 1200.00 bucks for a lift so this is the way im gonna go. the old girl got 180,000 miles on her but i just dont want to part with it. aits a 5 speed and they are getting harder to find.
