Unhappy 01 Ram 1500 Front brake line

Project:
2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4, Rear ABS

Recently, my brake lines corroded (damn road salt), and finally let go in the front. It appears to be leaking at the crossover line that links to the drivers' side brake hose.

I hate tackling a project when I don't have the right information, but has anyone changed out that line, and do they know what fittings those are that go into the frame-mounted blocks for the brake hoses?

Do I need to replace it with a special fitting (possibly calling the dealer for the pre-bent line that will kill my wallet??).

Just remove the line at both ends and bring it to your local parts store. They will match the length and the fittings . Then just bend it yourself. It's no big deal.

I'm in the salt region aswell. If that one is rusted i'd bet the others are ready to go too. I replaced every line and hose, I used three oem lines and that was one of them. Reason is because it comes with a rubber sleeve to prevent it from being nicked from road debris. Surprisingly, that line is cheap to buy from the dealer, if i remember correctly about $20, took 2 days to get though. My Chrysler dealership will pricematch any online dealer so lookup part# 52009195 and have at it. Check the condition of your plastic clips you may need a few if there split, part#52009165
