Default fabricating fuel tank straps

the rear tank strap on my truck broke a while back. Just got home from college and need it fixed asap but cant find any place around here that sells them. Would i be able to safely fabricate something like that or should i just buy them on line and wait for shipping.

Here's what I would do if I was in your place. I would go to the local autoparts store and pick up a set 0f like 300 lb ratchet straps and they should hold for quite some time until you find a better fix.

Hell you could get some cable from like home depot, never thought about that and use a turn buckle to tighten the cable.

I know, I'm a redneck.

I'd just use a ratched stap until you got the new one.
