Default Electric Brake???????????????????

I need your help again. I'm getting ready to buy a newer Travel Trailer to replace the old Motor Home with. I have a 1999 Dodge 1500 4 X4 Off Road with tow package. Now the question, I read somewhere that my dodge should have came equipped with electric brake set up. That all I need to do is purchase the electric brake controller and plug it in under the dash. I can't find any place to plug anything like this in under my dash. Does anyone know if this is the way the truck was made or will I need to buy the complete Electric Brake package and install the wiring and the works??????????????????

Thanks for your help on this subject.

my 99 ram 2500 had a connector under the dash and it was labeled for brake controller. I had to purchase a mating connector for the controller I bought and wire as directed, then plug it in.

My truck had the Mopar connector pigtale in the bag in the glove box. Just wire it to your aftermarket brake controller and plug it into the dash connector just to the left of the steering column under the dash. Should be a blue connector about an inch by 3/4" if I remember right.
