Default Where to find replacement driveshaft

As with previous post my son bought 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 V8 from tow truck company that was not claimed by previous owner. Fix one problem then find another...
The problem now is the truck has a bad vibration and gets worse at higher speeds. He has only driven it about 100 miles, at first thought it was because of 20" needing balancing, however today the rear transmission seal started leaking and that is when I noticed the driveshaft is bent bad.
The tow truck company said it probably happened when they picked it up and moved it with a forklift instead of going inside and getting the keys.
Prefer not to get one out of a junk yard, does anyone have any ideas where to find one. Have looked on the internet and the price is $400 on up...is that about right? Seems a little high. The yoke end etc is in good condition but bent badly in the middle
Thanks

i'd get one from a junkyard for about $50.
you could take the bent one to a drive line specialist, but it would probably be a little pricey.

Couldn't agree with you more. Go to the bone yard and pick one up. Why are you apposed to getting one from the junk yard?
