i keep breaking things.... here's my newest. found this ground dangling when i was working on the distributor. Not sure if i broke it or if it was broken before. theres 2 grounds attached, one is connected to a bolt on or near the back of the, i think, valve cover. ( as seen in pic ). i cant find where the other one went to. theres a similar one on the other side of the engine and it goes to what i think is the starter. The truck started and didn't kick on the check engine light.

ummm, that really looks like aftermarket wiring to me... maybe not.. Have to go look at mine in the morning.....

 

Thats stock. Do you have one going to each head? One going to the pcm? Its just a ground strap. Off hand thats the only places I can think of they go too


Oh I think one goes to the valve cover or something around there but I forget where exactly

 

on my truck they bolt to the back of the head

 

they do bolt on the back of the head, just beneath the valve cover.

 

both to the same place? thats seems odd. I'm not gonna worry about it unless i have to. thanks for all the replies.
