Its a cable that replaces the vacume actuator. Still uses the two piece shaft and collar, just has a cable to move it instead.

Thanks , found the posi lok and will be ordering one tomorow. I'd also like a PSC steering gear and Borgeson steering shaft. I'd like to upgrade the track bar to the 2003 version as well. But now I'm getting off subject. Sorry. By the way, nice truck olyelr ! Do you have a lift on it other than the body lift ?

take it for another test drive. shift into 4wd keep your hand on the transfer case shifter. If you feel it pop out of gear and the shifter levers towards nuetral you t-case need work. The plastic pads on the shift forks are worn.

I've tried that in the winter and you don't feel it "pop" out of gear, the 4x4 light just goes out. When the light comes back on you hear a big bang and then the 4x4 is back. Still have that driving on rumble strip feeling through it all. Thanks anyway Divetruck.

Thanks man! Just the 1 ton coils (just over 3" of lift) and some add-a-leafs.

You are SOL on the PSC steering gear, they don't sell them for dodges anymore. I snagged one for mine just in the nick of time . I would like a Borgeson shaft as well, those are very nice.

Good luck on your 4x4 prob. Hopefully its not the transfer case. Can you drive forward really slowly without any griding? Usually it will bind when just rolling forward (if its the t-case).

I will try it out. I think I will find a place round here to get the transfer case rebuilt. I could probably find one in the junk yaed, but might need work too. I e-mailed psc about the steering gear. Guess I wasted my time on that one. Any other good manufacturers of a steering gear ?

Got the posi lok. Ordered it on Tuesday and had it by Thursday. Pretty freakin' quick ! I will be installing it tomorrow morning. Pretty simple install. I don't have to even drill a hole in the fire wall cuz there is an access hole with a big rubber plug in it already there. Should only take about 45 minutes.

Should is the key word here, don't count on it. The cable really needs to go trough the firewall where the direction say, so it doesn't get severely bent in any way.

that big fat f***ing cable doesn't bend much.
if you do follow their not worth a $hit directions, be careful not to drill the hole in the firewall through the big steering brace.

yea, let us know how long it takes you...
