Tiss the season for stroker motors lol, there's about 4 guys I can think of on this forum building them right now. It's really a relatively low coast if your doing a complete rebuild.

well, you could build a 800hp N/A 408, but it wont drive in the streets very well. you need to decide what you want out of the engine. saying you want the most hp is pretty vague, if you want the power to be usable on a daily basis and pass emissions testing, then there are certain limitations. however, if you just want a crazy ground pounder, then like it was said earlier, the sky is the limit.

decide the kind of fuel econimy you want, RPM range, and reliablility. dont forget that the transmission has to be able to handle this power.

years ago i guy i worked with had an engine built and installed in an old 70's ford pickup. he just didn't know when to quit and kept adding and adding and adding $ and HP to the engine. we joked that he had a $3000 engine in a $300 truck. he had some of the guys involved in racing at the local track building this motor for him. it was like throwing candy at kids...

when they got done you couldn't even hardly touch the gas pedal w/o it smoking the tires. it was useless.
