Default really need some help guys

Well, the 5.9 is leaking alot of oil and im having trouble tracking down the leak, i know this though, its coming from the back of the motor, and it seems to be up high, the back of the motor is completely covered in oil, any repairs i would like to do myself, the problem is i cant find the freakin' leak, i was thinkin about replacing the oil pan gasket, but what if thats not the problem, any help from you guys would be appreciated, thanks

oil pan is down low, not up high.

spray the back of the motor off with engine degreaser.
check oil pressure sending unit, valve covers, intake.

Ah leaks are a bitch. You might think its coming from up high but it might not be. The oil could be flinging up while moving causing it to look like its coming from up top.

Could be the pan gasket, rear main seal or vc gasket.

Just did my vc gaskets. It looked like a mess underneath. There was oil everywhere. Stopped the leak dead. Maybe intake is leaking at the back as well. Degrease it and and then run it and look to see where it's leaking from as I believe was mentioned before.

Use some degreaser and a pressure washer, then run it.

Sorry, vc is short for valve cover. They were original ones if you can imagine it. They were leaking like a faucet.
