PCM Swap ??? Cali to Fed
I can't say for sure since I'm not well versed in Superchips, but most aftermarket manufacturers try to keep inventory down by making their products work with both models. Since much of the development is done here (so many companies are located in CA) it stands to reason that they would target CA models in their testing, and then just use them on both.
I agree and therefore there shouldn't be any noticable performance difference between Cali and non.
I suppose a person could argue that the 3 cat Cali exhaust provides more resistance to exhaust flow, but at what rpm? 4000+ ? If that's a concern then the Cali exhaust provides the option to run true duals with X-over. I've seen an exhaust setup like that with headers and it looked and sounded sweet.

The two have to be differnt. Like I said if the cali setup was better then every truck would ship from factory that way. I don't think dodge would worry about the cost of putting in two more O2 sensors if it was better performance. I want to get rid of the cali setup because of the two O2 sensors and the fact that I have headers and no cats. I think something with the program is what is causing all of my problems. Plus the extra O2 sensor on the drivers side is difficult to fit. The one I have on there now barely reaches. the passanger side has plenty of room.I'll have to look up the guy that custom tunes the dodge computers and see if it's possible for him to reflash it. I'm going to call dodge to and see if they can. It definetly is not illegal for me since I live in South Carolina and we don't even have emissions.
The problems I'm having have to have something to do with the PCM. If I can cut the truck off and then cut it back on and have it work then it has to be computer related.

Actually, any tampering with emissions-related equipment is illegal and covered under federal law. Doesn't matter what state you live in. The fact that there are no inspections in S. Carolina just means the chance of you getting caught is low, but it is still illegal.
