Default coil spring experiment

I am wondering if i could put 3/4 ton coil springs on my 1500 to give it a little more lift? Anyone have any input about this?

Yes you can. There are a good number of threads on this. Find them with a search.

they give you about 3" of lift, olyelr is the one to talk to about this.

Yeppers, it's a direct swap. 3/4 ton V8 springs will net about 2" or so of lift, while the V10 and deisel coils will be a little more (I gained just over 3" with mine).

But, you will also get the same ride quality of a 3/4-1 ton truck (possibly even worse with a reg. cab shortbox like me)

The rear springs are not interchangable, as the 3/4 tons are 3" wide while the half tons are 2.5" wide. Some add-a-leafs will level it off well.

Or you could use Off-Road coils and springs.

Off road coils will only net you about an inch and a half. Plus they're not easy to find. The rear springs will give you about 2 inches, but you'd be better off with a AAL. I recommend the BDS leaf as that setup gives you about 3 inches.

That is what I want, then. I just love the way Off-Road Rams sit.
