Default MAP Sensor

Hey guys just wondering..... whats all this hype about the MAP sensor????

and should i replace mine even know i really dont think anything is wrong..at least that i can tell my truck does take a wile to turn on.... anyway im not worried about money and wondering if i should just replace because my truck is 12 years old.

Don't replace it unless you suspect it is truly not working correctly. Test your old one first with a multimeter.

i've never replaced a map sensor. they're also expensive...

Check for an even voltage sweep from around 1.5~2.0V at idle to ~4.5V at WOT on a fully warmed up engine.

Seldom here about map problems. Should go with a 2bar map if you run boost. I got a 3bar just incase I decide to do something stupid
