You may have to look around for the Champion Truck plugs. I think Advance usually carries them. Sorry to have you going around to all the stores in town, but every store will carry a better part for your truck.

The 1" if that that a throttle body spacer is isn't enough to make a difference. The idea is to increase the length of the intake runners to create better flow but it doesn't work on a dry flow intake system.

Sure you can chip it. It is the exact same thing as using a tuner on an OBD II version of the trucks without the ease of a plug in tuner. DO NOT buy one of those "chips" off of ebay that promises something like 50hp and blah blah blah. they are rip offs.

Chips go with dip.

The only option that you '96 guys have is a SCT tuner. It is a custom-programmed tuner for the modifications that you have. This allows for more power to be squeezed out of your engine than a "canned" (ie; Superchips) tune would give you. But the price is also more than a "canned" tune, in excess of $600.

Jet sucks. I have read that they can make your truck slower!
