Default Removing cargo box

Hey everyone

My current box is rusted out at the wheel wells, so rather than get two repair panels ($100 each) I'm going to buy a used rust free box for $250.

Anyway, I'm wondering how many bolts I need to remove, whereabouts to locate them, and what size socket will I need? Please let me know.

Thanks !

You need to remove the three(I think) screws that hold the fuel filler neck in place and the four T50 torx bolts that hole the box on and remove your tail lights and harness. The box will come right off. Spray down the torx bolts from underneath with a generous amount of PB Blaster or eqivalent before attempting to remove the bolts. You may need to heat the bolts too. They are known for breaking torx sockets.

So I remove the bedliner, locate the T50 bolts, find them underneath and spray, then hope for the best eh. Sounds good! Thanks guys! I have to head over to Canadian Tire and get some more PB blaster. Does that stuff ever work good!

Just remember what I said about those bolts liking to break the t50 bits. Be prepared with a torch to cut em out if they have never been removed before.
