Exclamation Tonneau Cover mix and match

Got a 99' Ram Sport shortbox. My tonneau cover decided it didn't want to live with me anymore and blew off my truck this past weekend. I guess it decided I wasn't haulin what it wanted me to haul lol. Was hauling a bed full of plants for my wife. She nearly cried when she saw her wind-wipped plants and I cried when I realized the cover was gone ! Living in Chicago, you can never underestimate the wind we get here! Went back down the expressway but could never find it.

In any case, been ebay'n, craigslist and such and seems like no one sells just the cover. The whole enchilada only. 2 questions for everyone...
1) anyone know where I can find just the cover online somewhere?
2) can a 3rd gen shortbox cover fit a 2nd gen shortbox?

Man I'd really appreciate if someone could help me. I miss my tonneau!!! Many thanks!

If you know what brand and style tonneau cover it was you could call the company and ask them if they would sell you a replacement cover only. The most expensive part of most covers is the mounting system. Unless you tonneau is the snap down kind that is. If that is the case you might try to find a place near you that makes canvas tarps for tractor trailers. They might be able to make a new cover for you cheaper than the original one would cost.

If the 4 corners are rounded, you probably won't find anyone to make one . Like speeddemon said, your best bet is knowing what brand it is. And the company or your local aftermarket truck accessory store can get one one.

Manufacturer is "Sport Masters" and haven't had much luck in tracking down a "working" number for them. Could I use a 02-09 cover for a 99? Or is that impossible?

All I did was google sport master tonneau cover and tons of places that sell them came up. Call the places that show up and have them order just the cover.
