Cat question
I've had mine out for about a month, noticed nothing different, certainly nothing negative.
Exhaust sounds a bit throatier, I guess you could say.
I heard talk that running catless would make it prone to backfire, haven't had backfire #1.
I had mine done by a friend who happens to run a muffler shop, he rigged up threads in the new pipe and threaded the O2's right in, no codes.

You were thinking of an O2 sim. The non-fouler, once cut and welded into a hole in the pipe, can serve as threads for the O2 sensor.
yeah, your truck is the one i listened too and decided to get the headers....sounds oh so good. I'm wondering though if i take it to the place i did my pipes to begin with if they could take the cat off. only reason i'd do that is because i cant weld in a new piece of pipe
i had mine done at meinike, i had a highflow cat on, but they took it off and say i need 2 new ones that are smaller, i wouldent get the cats but i have too to pass emmision,
i dont need emmisions till next year so imma holding off lol

why didn't they just relocate your high flow a little further down the pipe? all they would have had to do would be to extend the wires on the o2 sensors. and you don't have to get 2 new ones, go by a muffler shop or a junk yard and get one to cut in half and gut it. then weld the shell over your pipe and voila-you have a cat, or at least it'll look like you do.
