Default electrical issue please help

ok so I have a 96 dodge ram 5.9 2RWD. So my volts vary each time i start up and sometimes it is normal or below normal. But usually when I drive anywhere from 15 minutes to 75 minutes my GEN light comes on. Also whenever I hit a bump it also usually comes on. After that happens usually the truck doesn't seem to charge and the truck usually dies on me while i'm driving and have to get it jumped. Any ideas would help

take advantage of the free charging system checks at auto stores- auto zone etc will do a curbside ck...

as already mentioned- check all wiring at alt, tight corossion free also those battery cables both ends clean and tight.

hitting a bump referance has me thinking cables or battery. how old is batt?

That's an easy one, your alternator is no good. Had that happen to me on another vehicle. Pretty soon at night you'll see your head lights and dash light start to flicker and go from dim to brighter than usual and dimming again. That's cause your alternator is messing around with your amperage. Get a new alternator, they are cheap and easy to replace.
