Hell Bent leveling kit installed
8 Attachment(s)
Ordered Thursday, shipped Friday, here today and installed this afternoon. I went with the 2" kit because I just wanted to level the truck off a little and not have to replace the shocks. The fabrication of the pieces is superb. Heavy steel and quality welds. Nice powder-coat finish, too.
Installation was pretty straightforward, but there are some things I did differently from the instructions. Even with the axle hanging by itself it didn't drop enough to get the springs back in. Rather than disconnect the track bar and have to deal with lining it back up later I went to Autozone and borrowed their coil spring compressor tool. Much easier, but you still have to work a little at getting it back in. Attachment 104780 Thank you, Chrysler Gods, for these tabbed nuts. They make disassembly/reassembly of things like the lower shock mount so much easier. Still have to re-aim the headlights. Not bad for $65 and 3.5 hours of work. |
Much nicer!

I only drove her about 10 miles after, but as far as steering and handling go I see absolutely no difference from before. Don't think I'll even need to have her realigned. Woo hoo!:)

Man that looks nice. Gives it that beefy look that V10 deserves
|
looks nice
when we did the 2.5 inch on my dads f350, it was too tall in the front, airbags fixed that 4x4s should be level like that from the factory i like mine where it is, b/c when i load it, it sits nice and level |
I agree, 4Xs don't look right unless they're level. In addition to being a 2500 I have the camper package and towing package on mine. It takes quite a bit of weight to compress that rear end. Something on the order of a 5th wheel hitch and trailer.:icon_teeth:
|
speaking of 5th wheel, i just bought a Reese gooseneck, it folds flat when im not using it, so i still have a useful truck bed (basically i can put a bed in it, and get some tang:icon_teeth:)
|
Haha, thats what Goosenecks are for!
Looks really good. I'll have to get me one. What size are your tires? |
Your wheels are dirty.:icon_rant:
J/K:icon_couchhide: Looks real good, man. |
Miami, that looks really sharp. It give it the aggressive look it should have. I have to bust on ya though. You didn't use the locks on those spring compressors. Tisk tisk...jk.
