Default Tires

I have to replace the tires on my truck because of a big a$$ nail in took in the outside of one. Right now I have 315/75 on 16's. I can get a screaming deal on 285/75. How much of a difference will I notice. My truck does have a 6" lift on it.

Back when I was going to give my truck a 2" Off Road edition lift, I thought 33s would look to small.

With a 6" lift, I agree with Helms, they will look really funny.

Here is a 6" lifted 2001 1500 with 33s. The 20" rims help, but still, when you look at it from the sides or rear, it doesn't look quite right, IMO.

Goofy looks but are you geared for a 35 or still stock gearing? If you're geared at a 4.56 or higher, those little tires are going to have you pegged on the highway.

I think you guys are all right. It is going to look a little funny. After the recent tranny rebuild and brake job I had to have done I don't really have the cash flow for tires. I can get these 285's for $600 for all 4. So I was thinking about doing that until I could afford to put 35's back on it. Thanks for all the input.
