couldn't you just take the coupler off the steering gear on the pump and rotate it then put it back on to get your wheel straight?

the goal is to center the steering box as well as the steering wheel.

its pretty simple, there is an adjusting sleeve on the draglink, loosen the two nuts with a 13mm wrench and rotate the sleeve until the wheel is straight.

And a big NO to rotating the intermediate shaft, it only goes on one way. Unless of course you have a Borgeson shaft.
