Have you seen any black helicopters over your neighborhood? If so, ignore them.

Is it possible the truck previously had an interlock device placed on it by a court to prevent a convicted drunk driver from using it while drinking?

Well, have you traced the wire back to see what it is connected to?
I would guess it is some sort of a hands free device that the previous owner had.
When I got mine, it had the floor mount cell phone charger, and a box similar to that underneath the carpet. I also had a window mount antenna, and microphone ran through the truck. More than likely the previous owner might have just cut the wires going to the other parts of the system, and tucked the wires up to hide them.

Clean your prints off, Put it back and forget you ever saw it...

Actually clearer pics of it would help. prolly not lojack, they are branded, could be a wife tracking hubby or parents tracking their kid unit.

a lot of vehicles nowadays actually have gps tracking devices in them for people who lease the vehicle and need to pay. we actually have it in my wifes cavalier. if we dont pay our bills, they shut the car off and theres no way to turn it back on without a code to punch in. and you have to punch in a code everytime you pay too. its a PITA. if i knew it had it, i wouldn't have gotten the car lol

yep...like i said, its probably a vehicle tracking device for a company that sold the vehicle and was taking payments on it at one time. they use it to shut the vehicle off in case you dont make your payments lol
