I would put it as close to the header as you can - if the exhaust isn't going through the cat or any piping, it's going to be louder and flow better. The CEL will probably turn on when you have it open, but should turn off when it's closed

Yeah I'd put the cutouts right after the headers, before the catalytic converter.

well 1st i had the cutout after the highflow cat before with just the manifolds , it was good perfect i guess i could say prob for you guys. noise and ballsy sound wise.

then i had the headers installed with no cat with the cutout, i was actually scarred i was going to get pulled over for like a week its so loud , i had to get used to it lol. but it was a major diffrence in sound with no cats with the longtubes, the motor just sounds so good. you guys would have to hear it in person to understand but im not afraid to drive it now. but i have to get cats soon to pass emmisions, which will break my heart lol .

i have pics in my gallery

Why don't you just put the cat on AFTER the cutout? That way you can still bypass it if you want to.

i dont think it will pass emmsions, at least if i keep it after the cat , i could have a better chance passing since its after. it wont do that much cept make it a lil quiter
