Suspension question Dodge RAM 1500 4x4
Hi, I am new here and for my first post I have a rather unusual problem.
I have a '94 RAM 1500 4x4. Due to a back injury and my wife cannot get into the truck without help.
So unlike all the guys, who want their truck lifted, I am looking for a suspension kit that makes it possible to lower the truck down as far as possible when it is standing still but that takes it back to stock ride height for driving.
Come to think of it, on the freeway it also would make sense to ride a bit lower than stock, so if that was possible, I'd be interested too.
I have searched the web extensively but all I can find is lift kits for 4x4s or lowering kits for 2WD. So if any of you guys have an idea Id appreciate hearing it.
Thanks
Chris

well you need to have friends in the auto buis bud. Personelly id say geez thats gonna look gay but hey you got a prob easiest way to make this happen. Cut the springs in the front and turn the shackles up side down, should lower the truck two inches or so. If the truck is lifted when turning the shackles up side down remove the blocks. Also if the truck is higher than 2 inches stock, you will need to find correct dimensions of stock springs and cut according off of stock because if its lifted over 2 inches it should have longer springs in the front. Another good option is selling it and getting a dakota or a small truck so you still have 4x4. Just my cheap .02
