Default oil burning

burning some oil here, seems to get worse when engine hot and hot outside, looked in the plenum, couldn't see a pool of oil, burns the most when idling in gear at lights, and get a big puff when i step on the gas after stopping at a light,
i changed the oil and put in 3l of 20w50 and 2l of lucas engine oil stabalizer, and still burning...motor has 177000kms on it
kinda thought the heavier oil would help if it was rings or valve guides

if anyone has any ideas let me know
thx

I would say the valve guides are wore out and allowing oil to bypass.
