The brake light and ABS light are on in my 97 ram. I'd like to hear what other people have to say about this. I believe I have a bad sensor somewhere

Sounds like, you either broke or dislogged the rear ABS sensor. While the brakes will appear to work fine, untill you replace the sensor, it will continue to light the brake/abs light on dash. Even is you reset the computer.
