Default Do coil spring spacers mess up drivetrain geometry?

I was thinking of getting 2" front coil spring spacers and maybe a 2" add-a-leaf kit for the rear for a mild lift. I know that any lift (especially 5" and taller) will affect drivetrain and suspension geometry, which results in parts wearing out quicker.

Is this a concern with the 2" spacers up front? Will they also result in parts wearing out quicker and more wear and tear on the truck? Anyone have experience with this?

thanks,
pf

from my experience and research, i havent found any geometry issues with a 2" coil spacer. i would recommend you get an alignment after changing any front suspension or steering components, but other than that its good to go.

Might want to check out this thread:

Since all you're doing is basically forcing the suspension to sit at a higher point of its normal travel, there really isn't any change to the actual geometry with these types of lifts. Wear is negligible, as well. Other lifts often change component mounting points resulting in changes to geometry that have real affects to handling and wear and since they are often done to accommodate the use of much larger, heavier tires that put even more stress on suspension and axle components, the negative aspects are often more readily noticeable.

to go up 2" with these truck wont do anything... i had a buddy that did the same thing, 2 inch coil spacers, and 2 inch add a leafs, was able to fit 33's very easily, and looks good, still hasnt had to change anything on there because of it,

and as for the parts wearing out quicker on lifts more tehn 5", i am going to be sitting aotu 8 to 9 taller, and i am pretty sure i wont have anything break before its time... its all account on what you put on with that lift.. like the big tire as ^ he said^... thats the main killer, but as for steering, these trucks were cursed from the begining, just go with moog stuff and be done with it...
