Unhappy Shaking/High RPM jumps

I drive a dodge ram 97 slt laramie.
this week it started Shaking at about 50-55 miles mph and and when i try to accelerate at this time its like trying to pull a heavy load and the rmps jump from 1500 to 2500/3000 ish but when i get above or below that speed everything is fine but little bit sluggess on the acceleration tho above. No CEL or any other check lights are on either

dont know if drive down a flooded street last week had anything to do with this but it was fine for couple days after till now

EDIT for not a mechanic and dont work on my car but like to know what kind of idea is wrong with it when i go get it to the mechanic

You pulling in Overdrive? Try driving with OD locked out at 55 MPH and see if it's still an issue. Sounds like the TC letting go but it could also be a clogged Catalytic Converter. Driving thru the flood water might have backed up the exhaust and cooked a cat that was on it's way out.
