When I looked at buying my truck new, I compared Chevy, Dodge & Ford. Everyone has their favorites and what they look for in a vehicle. I looked at size, comfort, drivability, and workability. As a DIY kinda guy the Dodge gave me the greatest freedom to do what I wanted with ease. The Ford had a lot of Body roll when driving and the engine was too tight in the engine bay. The Chevy didn't have as nice an interior, (cheap looking plastics) and Chevy had a very complicated engine. I like simple and not over engineered engine bays. Made that choice over 12 years ago and have never regretted it. The 2nd gens were probably the best trucks Dodge made.

very easy to work on, reliable, many aftermarket mods. My second vehicle would be Ford, they are ok vehicles also. never a chevy, they build everything backwards so its impossible to find anything and work on.
