Default Headlight Question!! Sorry to beat the horse again.

So I Just bought a sweet pair of blacked out headlights. Not the halos projectors or anything with brows, just plain one piece headlights, clear lenses with blacked out backrounds. But i just realized when they showed up that there is only One space for a bulb, my stock lights have 2 bulbs in them, one for high and one for low beam, Will i be able to get a 2 way bulb and splice wires to make this work? Anyone have the same problem with the sports?

thats your problem....sports dont have ANY aftermarket lights....which is kinda dumb.......i would either go to a junkyard and get the single harness or get rid of those lights....my g/f's dad had a 97 yukon and he got the blacked out lights and had to use highbeams all the time and it still sucked

The problem with those one piece lights isn't so much the beam pattern, but how it aims. There is no way to align those headlamps, no way to adjust them. They will not shine on the road properly.

I had the chromed versions, thats how I know. Sold them for that reason.

I loved how they looked, but got sick of them not performing at night.

I have never done any electrical mods to any vehicles I've ever owned, would getting a different headlight harness and rewiring be WAYYY over my head? Or is it doable, i am pretty mechanically inclined.

not positive, but it should be easy....i think there is a writeup to go from nonsport to sport so it should be reverse of that

Should be very doable with a small electrical set (crimping tool, electrical connectors, electrical tape, etc.) and a multimeter/voltmeter.

While you're doing that, I'd grab some 30A automotive relays and wire the headlights so they grab power straight from the battery, and the switch merely activates or deactivates the relays to turn the lights on or off. This will take the load off the in-cab headlamp switch, which has been known to fail occasionally, and also make your lights slightly brighter.
