I need a new oil cap as the plastic things where mine hook are worn out so the cap just spins unless you take the top off then you can pull the plug part out. I'm not sure if you know what I mean but anyone that's dealt with this I'm sure does. Is a stock one the best one to go with or is there a better one out there? I was thinking maybe there was something chrome or nice looking out there but it might not be. Any suggestions? I really think a blue one would look nice.

 

i modified mine with a bolt, cant remember how i did it, but now i have to be careful when i tighten it down cuz it don't ratchet any more

 

get a junkyard one and paint it

 

Bone yard, or almost every parts store will have a replacement...

Personally, unless you plan on painting the rest, or making it a show truck I wouldn't worry about.

And, since I know your not doing that, either leave it alone, or buy a cheap replacement.

 

My cap broke at advance auto the day I got my truck thay had one for $6

 

Yup that's what I planned to do but they were sold out last night so I didn't get one.
