Default older spindle swap on a 99 CAD dana 60???

Does anyone know or have you tried to swap the spindles from an older dana 60 axle to a newer CAD unit 60?? I want to get rid of that crappy CAD and unit bearings on my 99 3/4 ton and try to improve my gas mileage some by freeing up the drag on the front end by turning all of the internals on the front of the truck. I know they make a swap kit but its pricey and I was wondering about this route, any help is always appreciated. Thanks

I put a dynatrac on my Front 60 i put in ( and i love it, was well worth my $1700) .. You may be able to use a ford knuckle and spindle and hubs would be my guess... Just have to look at the ball joints to see if the mount the same.. I know in 2000 dodge changed the way the ball joints are but being a 99 you should still have the old style.. Do you plan on putting a one peace shaft in the Passenger side?

You would see more improvement then i did..but yes i do notice less throttle on take off..I swapped both front and rear axles and lifted my truck...But what i do notice is no worry about those unit bearings...Ive beat my pretty hard and would have broke at least one set by now...
