Last,

The late, great Smokey Unick had a sign hanging in his shop in Daytona Beach Fla. that read " Horsepower Costs Money, How Fast You Wanna Go?". What may seem like a simple "head swap" sometimes is just that, but more time then not they aren't. Besides new heads, you have to think gasket sets, hardware(i will guarantee you will break some exhaust manifold studs),and time. Ideally it should be done with the engine out, that way the block can be sent to a machine shop to be checked and decked. Not to mention to make accessing them MUCH easier. The Hughes guys have done alot of homework on these Magnum engines, and they are very good at customer support. I personally like Hughes' products, and if it saves you a few bucks that can be used elsewhere, I'd go with them.

This part number & price is for a single bare head. Expect to spend about another 2-400 dollars PER HEAD to complete them. If you gonna do it right. Reusing your current valve train is not an option i'd recomend. Check Hughes' price on complete heads, that is more along the lines of what your gonna spend. Also, who is gonna assemble them?

Those Are just the EQ cylinder heads and Hughes is way overcharging for them. Try Clearwater Cylinder Heads. The Eddie heads are great heads too, but you'll have to buy new rockers or a stud conversion kit. More flow should match up with those long tubes well. Make sure you gp with the bigger intake valves.
