Never mind I dug a little further and found it. Problem solved

pcv goes in the other valve cover, the manifold should have a hookup on the drivers side for the pcv hose. the vac line plugs in where the pcv hose is now and it does control the cruise and the vents. the passenger side valve cover is supposed to have a plastic elbow with a rubber hose attached to the air box.

You are correct, and incorrect. In 1998(I think), they moved the pcv to the driver's side.

Thanks for your response but actually it is hooked up right according to the sticker. Just found the other spot in the intake below where the PVC valve attaches. All is well.

well its good that you found it. so yours is one of the backwards ones. the reason i assumed that you had it on the wrong side is because you originally said that you couldn't see where the vac lines hook up.

with the other configuration (like my 2000) the pcv hooks up on the drivers side with the brake booster line attached right above it. the passenger side of the manifold just has the vac line with the check valve on it and that valve cover has the crank case breather on it.
