are you talking about the one on the trans/t-case output shaft, or the one on top of the rear diff. either way, its easy to change. an elec connector and just unscrew it (t-case) or one hold down bolt (diff). a small amount (1/4 cup) of trans fluid will seep out on t-case/trans.
