Default Performance upgrades for V10

New to the forum and trucks.... so I have a couple of questions. My father in law has a 1995 Ram 2500 4x4 V10 and would like to get some more power/torque out of it. I found a full K&N intake for it, but that is about all.

I did some searching here for exhaust setups, but didn't really come up with much. It seems like there is not much stuff out there for this truck as far as performance goes. I have bee working on cars for a long time so I know my way around. Do you guys have any advice? I was thinking about building a full exhaust for him (I tig weld very well). Full 3", should be plenty I guess.

Any suggestions on any mods would be greatly apreciated.

Thanks

a single 3" system sould be plenty. I think those engines redline at or around 4000RPM? 500ci @ 2500-3500rpm should produce some good torque with a single 3" system.

What about adding headers? Gibson and Hooker make them for our V10. I haven't done this myself but have heard changing out the gears from 3.55 to 4.10 is not hard and gives you better low end power.
