Tht blade blocks a fair amount of air so you might not need it.
Do you have any concept on air flow and heat dissipation?

I know air will flow around the blade. Hot air goes up. Cold air goes down. Is tht what your looking for?

Your sentence made absolutely no sense whatsoever. If the blade was to block a fair amount of air, why would he NOT want one.

Before plowing season I think he would be ok. But I would get it fixed before tht. When plow season get here when he does his winter prep it should be on the get fixed list. If he has not already done so.

I'm also pretty sure that people with a higher degree of education than you or me put the cooler in there for a reason.

Engineers work in different departments. Its not like they have one engineer for the entire truck. Just so happens the engineer for our transmissions was ill-minded.
