Sparkplub wires routing
I've got the top of the line Bosch spark plug wires. Is it required to do the plug routing as outlined in http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1998/18-48-98/18-48-98-v8.htm TSB 18-48-98

Honestly, I didn't notice a difference between spark plug wires routed or not routed. If you have high end wires (I have the Autolite Professionals myself), I don't know if it matters for 2000 and 2001 model years. That TSB is only for up to 1999.
The way I look at it is it won't hurt, and its free, just a little bit of time, so why not?

i did the re-route along with new wires and it got rid of my rpm surge. i still had the surge the last time i replaced the wires so i'm pretty sure the re-route is what got rid of it. that tsb has a few symptoms that can be from improperly routed wires so it is worth taking the time to do IMO.

Still have OEM wires on my truck recently replaced the valve cover gaskets and had issues removing the factory wire holders so I removed them with pliers wreaking them in the process. My new wire holder is on zip tie on the passenger side no problems detected so far but....
Guess I'll thank the OP for supplying a new bookmark just in case.
