What is the going rate of having someone install this in my rear end? I also plan on replacing all my bearing in the differential

If it is the stock unit as the seller claims, it will only work for approximately 70k miles, then fail. That seems to be the report from most anti-spin from the factory guys here.

Personally, I'd spend the money on a Detroit TruTrac anti-spin or other good anti-spin, if I was going to do it and then pay someone $$$ to install it. Do it right the first time or go home is my two cents.

how much is a detroit unit ?

if you're paying someone else to do the work, its likely that the labor cost plus the install kit (bearings) will cost far more than this unit. based on that, i would not spend the big install $ on a less than bulletproof unit.

the original warranty was carefully calculated out to be 7/70 for a very good reason.

is there something wrong with your current rear end ?
i'd guess the labor at 400+, plus 100+ for bearings.

Don't know how much a detroit is..

How hard is it to install the new differential my self. I would love to try to do it myself but i've been told to just let the professionals to do it since it involves special tools.

My rear ends roars like a Lion (annoying) and when i drained my fluid i found clips of metal, I did post pics with my earlier posts. Looks like clutch paks
