where did the oil go
I have no ping and just passed my etest , I took out the pcv valve and it rattles ,so i assume that it is ok , or is it cleanable ? what is the proper test to see if a pcv valve is doing it's job ? should a 98 dodge ram 2500 with a 5.9l gas engine have power off take off? as mine wont even spin the tires . in fact the wife's ford windstar will take off faster at the lights. or is that cause the truck is so heavy?

great, i checked the plenum and yes there is oil in there , I guess this is going to cost a fortune. I dont have time to have my truck ripped apart for 2 days, and no i wasnt going to base my findings on the pcv valve. just wondering what the proper proceedure or test for a pcv valve was. I guess it will pay itself off in a month. cause this thing is using more oil than gas. but yet i dont smell a drop of oil being burned . and no leaks outside of motor. would it be better to buy a new crate motor? or is this going to be expensive at a dealership? thanks.

New crate motor because you need a new plunum gasket
Just replace the plenum gasket...
