I agree with Zman, cleaning that thing doesn't fix it. If you really think it's that then replace it.

OK...FINALLY FIGURED THE PROBLEM OUT AND FIXED IT!!!!!

As it turns out, the slight, erratic stumble I was getting @ idle was due to my plug wires! The stumble would occur hot/cold, full/empty tank, etc... It even started to stumble at around 45 mph. However, yesterday it went full tilt and would kick and buck and even threw a CEL.

Long story short, the CEL was P0300 thru P0308 (meaning a misfire in all 8 cylinders). NO WAY I thought, unless the wires were shot and the coil wire was messing with all of them. Lo and behold, a new set of wires did the trick.

glad to hear that you got it figured out.
my old plug wires had a split on the #8 cylinder and weren't routed properly. when i did the re-route and put new wires on it made my rpm surge go away.
