My poor 4x4 =(
My 4x4 decided to crap out, not sure where to start looking to fix it. it wont engage the front differential, i drop it into 4L and it acts like its in 4L but i dont get any power to the front tires. suggestions?
the best way to troubleshoot it is to put it up on 4 jack stands so you can operate it in gear.
first determine whether front drive shaft is turning. if so, t-case is ok and move to CAD lock. if not, you have a t-case problem.
once driveshaft is turning, check the vac lines that run from the top of the t-case to the CAD. if they are broken or missing, that's your problem.
if vac is ok at the cad, and it switches from one line to the other based on t-case selection of 2wd vs 4wd, then the problem is in the cad. take it apart and clean it up and check the collar.
